O-M-VP! It’s a full house for November’s MVP!

Jingle bells and whatnot are in full swing in the StrategiQ office, and while some businesses start to gradually wind down for Christmas, we’re still busy, busy, busy like little marketing elves!

Looking forward into December, there’s much joy to be had… Not only do we have the legendary (or perhaps that should be, infamous) StrategiQ Christmas Party, we also have our Secret Santa draw AND our Save the Children Charity Christmas Jumper Day, where we’ll be raising money by donning our swankiest Christmas knits and bling… and eating cake.

And, of course, December heralds the crowning of the final MVP of 2017. A momentous occasion indeed, so we waited with bated breath as the nominations came in thick and fast…

Some of our favourite nominations went a bit like this;

“It’s obvious that everyone works hard because, as an agency, we’re achieving big results.

But one person, in particular, stood out for me this month. A calm, reliable and dedicated member of the team, no stranger to going the extra mile and doing what needs to be done, always with a cool head and a sense of humour. Mr Tom Wake.”

“Nicola has shown how well she can multi-task by keeping on top of her finance tasks while providing invaluable support to the marketing delivery team. With ad hoc requests flying in from all angles, remaining cool and calm under pressure and showing a positive, caring attitude demonstrates teamwork at its best.”

“My nomination goes to Chris G this month. He continues to spin many plates brilliantly with his technical know-how contributing to many new client wins this month, all whilst delivering excellence for his retained clients AND making the time to share his knowledge with the wider team.”

“As always, there are so many of the team worthy of an MVP nomination; with new starters settling in and getting involved in projects across the board straightaway, PR results pouring in left, right and centre, and Black Friday successes in the marketing team. However, this month I’d like to nominate Amy for MVP. Amy continues to demonstrate a can-do attitude, genuinely caring, working hard month-on-month to get results for clients and working on and advocating internal processes to ensure that we’re all working effectively. Top work, Amy!”

So who won?

The votes were shared fairly evenly throughout the team, with a record number of people receiving a nomination, which made a difficult task even harder. If you put any trust in numbers (who does?), Tom came out on top with 4 votes, followed closely by Amy with 3, and Simon and Bex got 2 votes apiece.

After much deliberation, it was decided that there could be only one result that would be deemed fair by all…

Yep, you guessed it, the whole team won!

Congratulations, Team StrategiQ! We’ve had a blinder of a year and are proud of every single member of our team. Even with our vast client base expansion and the team doubling in size in such a short space of time, we’ve kept the ball rolling smoothly and haven’t allowed our standards, culture or work ethic to drop.

The only stipulation was that we all have to take our duvet day on Friday 15th December, the day after our epic Christmas party, so there were certainly no complaints! Not that we’d ever advocate anything other than responsible drinking.
