Autumn is fast approaching us, the leaves have started to fall, and August’s MVP contest has rolled around already! It’s time to announce who won the coveted ‘Most Valuable Player’ award.

It was a fairly level playing field this time around, with a number of team members winning equal votes, including Tom, Chris P, Andrew and Amy…

“My MVP this month is Tom. Despite having his holiday this month he did an absolutely amazing job of getting two websites ready for launch. The standard of both sites was really good and I know he put in a lot of extra hours to ensure that was the case.”

“I would like to nominate Andrew this month for MVP. Andrew does fantastic work for his clients and is a great personality to have in the office – definitely worthy of my vote this month!”

“My vote goes to Amy. I’m finding it increasingly difficult to assess who’s genuinely going ‘above and beyond’ each month as we’re all working flat-out! Amy has continued to build an excellent rapport with her clients while being a really positive presence in the office. The care and attention to detail she continues to bring to her campaigns demonstrates a consistent work ethic and there’s no sign of that letting up.”

“My MVP nomination for August is Chris P.  The standout MVP moments for me though are the extra hours he always puts in to ensure that things are done on time, but also to a high standard, without corners being cut.”

James and Andy also gave a special mention to Rich for his attention to detail, focus on standards and attitude towards his own work while supporting the wider team, offering advice, opinions and guidance where it’s needed.

This month, however… drumroll please…

Nick nabbed the MVP top spot, and deservedly so. Nick’s consistent attitude particularly stood out…

“This month I would like to put Nick forward for MVP. Nick quietly goes about his work, but consistently delivers for his ever-growing list of clients. What’s impressed me this month is that he has dedicated a large amount of time outside work hours (so as not to impact client delivery) to revise and pass his Google Adwords exams. Not only that, but he has put in long hours in the office to get tasks done which might otherwise have affected agreed deadlines and schedules. For this I would like Nick to have his duvet day and a well-earned rest.”

“This month MVP for me is Nick. He’s come very close on a number of occasions and always risks not being considered because of his consistently high level of work. What tipped the scales in his favour for me this month is his completion of the Google AdWords certification in his own time, while balancing a significant amount of client work.”

Enjoy your evening out and duvet day, Nick – you’ve definitely earned it!
